Oh Lin that is so wonderul!! I know several people over there, some who have been and I remember ALL in my prayers. It is all such a mess and the sodiers all need our support!!! I know how they feel after being there myself in a different sitting. I also know a couple who have not made it back.

The one thing that concerns, well aggravates me actually, is that when units return now back to their home bases there is not the fanfare there was after Desert Storm, or if there is it is not picked up and shown in the news. Humm, matter of politics?

Could be politics Dave. My family and I were fortunate to attend the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. While we were standing there waiting for the parade, several groups of soldiers walked by (on their way to McDonalds for breakfast) and each time they passed, the crowd cheered for them. It was nice to see. Some of them were embarrased by it, but they all appreciated it.

Dave, I think it has a lot to do with politics. We have had huge fanfare in our town and a couple other towns within an hour of us. Jacksonville just had a ship return and it was all over the paper and news. As far as nationally, I think you don't hear much about it because some politicians and political parties don't want to bring attention to the support our troops get regardless of whether people support the war. I will always support our men and women - people like them and you fought/are fighting for our country's rights and privileges.

Thanks everyone for all your good wishes and prayers for Jason. I'm very glad I found this group. You are a very caring,talented loving group. I have gotten many scrappng ideas from you along with alot of fun things. I really enjoyed the SS and all the swaps I have joined. Thanks everyone who hosted.
