I never really cared for most of the stickopotamus stickers. But when I took the Scrapbook Design University class, we used them and they showed us how to group them together or use foam dots so they stand up. It was really neat! There are so many great sticker companies out there!

This is a link to a website that has an assortment of brands of stickers. Just click on the link, and the different sticker brands will be on the left. Just click on each one and you will see a variety! When the new window opens up, the categories under that brand appear on the left, too. If you click on the picture of the sticker, you will see a bigger pic so you can see a little more detail. I use other brands besides stickopotamus and I couldn't begin to tell you what brand they are - I just pick what I like for my layouts.

The stickers that get used the most, and still not nearly as often as my supply demands, are alphabet. I have them from more companies than I can even list. Including several from stickopotamus. I love Susan Branch stickers but they're just not my style. I know this because I bought a couple sheets and have had a hard time incorporating them into my lo's. LOL Now I know, look but don't buy. Also, anymore I don't even look at stickers unless they have clear backgrounds or are laser cut. I hate all that white around the edges.

Is Xyron and vellum compatible?

I really like the Mrs. Grossman's vellum stickers. I took a Mrs. Grossman's class at a Scrapbook convention and they gave a lot of stickers and had great ideas about using their stickers. I fell in love with the vellum stickers they even came in alphabets.

I use all kinds of stickers. Just like Katrina I look for vellum stickers now... I just can't stand the white edges around the other stickers. Recently, the sticker letters I use are Provo Craft, Memory Makers and Sonnets. I have used several K&CO embossed stickers and just loved the look.

Very much so, LynnDel. If you are making a sticker out of vellum you won't even see the adhesive. It works great.

JOLEE'S!!!! I know this is kind of borderline on embelishments, but you do find them under stickers at most stores and catalogs. They have a great variety of themes and sizes. Some ppl don't like them for the bulkiness it creates, but I think that gives the page the extra "something" that I like =)

I agree on the clear background stickers. If there's white on the edges, I cut it before I peel off the sticker. Angie

I don't look at the brand on my stickers when buying. I'm only interested in how they will go on my page. Peggy

i just hate that the jolee's are so small. i tend to gravitate more toward the Paper Bliss because they are still cute and embellished, yet they are larger and more noticeable. i think i would probably use jolee's a LOT more if i worked in 8 1/2 x 11 instead of my 12 x 12. anyone else feel this way, or am i just being weird again? I totally have to agree. So many times I have thought "Oh these are so cute, but what can I do with them, they will only be overwhelmed on the page." Lately I have been thinking they might be a nice addition to a tag for a particular theme. Haven't tried it yet, but I will.

yes, i think on tags or in a block of a color-blocked page is a great use for them. maybe some of them would work as embellishments on a title block or something? i dunno....i usually just try to pass by them without looking and thinking how cute they would be if only they were bigger. lori shay

i'll just be glad if someone actually sold paper bliss ones here

The Walmart here actually has a variety of Paper Bliss stickers...which amazed me 'cuz I live in a little hicks-ville kinda place. Now, if they'd just concentrate a bit more on outdoorsy themes...after all, we are only 15 minutes from the Rockies :)

aaww...can't blame the bears...they're just hungry. They really are gorgeous creatures, imo. Mind you, most critters around here are gorgeous...bears, elk, mountain sheep and goats, cougars...those rubber nosed swamp horses (aka moose) are a little funny lookin, tho...they look like steak to me! lol
