Wedding gift ideas please!

Jul 08, 2008 5 Replies

Im looking for some ideas from all you brilliantly talented people! We just attended a friends wedding which was absolutely fabulous! My husband took some amazing pictures. I would like to make some sort of gift for the couple with the pics. I could just make a little scrapbook but thought maybe I could come up with something a bit more creative. The only thing I could think of was an exploding box album. Any other ideas??

Your ideas sound great. Another idea what I use to do before I started scrapbooking was make a frame with their wedding invitation I'd been sent (I would have just thrown it away) and a really good photo that I had taken. I still have my wedding invitation hanging on a wall that my Great Aunt and Uncle had artfully framed 21 years ago. A friend of mine that's been married 16 years still has the one I made for her hanging on the wall. She says the picture I took is the best one taken at her whole wedding. I feel very honored that she feels that way. Cause I tried really hard to get a great photo of her and her new hubby.

maybe take a canvas watercolor the whole thing with their wedding colors, add a 5x7 on one side and then add 3 or 4 smaller photos on the other side decorate with flowers, buttons, glimmer mist ect. Barb:o)

That sounds pretty, have you ever done that? Do you have photos on webshots?

You know - I once saw something on this group about putting a picture on a tile - I wish I saved the links. Maybe someone can recall - it really looked very cool - the pictures gets a softer matt look and you can put the tile on a stand. Very special. HTH
