went to HL yesterday

My Hobby Lobby in Olathe is up to 5 aisles worth of scrap stuff now and still growing! I couldn't believe it. I don't get over there that often and it seems that when I do they're always expanding the sb stuff. They had the neatest page kits by Two Busy Moms. You got paper, tags, eyelets and floss in the pack. They had so many more punches. All of the whale punches (I want that funky flower) and some of the corner adorners. Has everyone seen these? They're beautiful. I bought the one that looks like a zig zag at my lss awhile back. Geez, nearly an entire aisle only for Jolees and Paper Bliss. I drooled over the buttons the most though. I love buttons! They've come out w/ tons of buttons for scrapping that have no shanks. They're packaged under the name of Memory Mates and they're the same as you'd find in the sewing section w/ shanks. Guess someone finally told them about us scrappers! LOL

Okay, now ask me what I bought...Nothing! I saw plenty I'd love to have but nothing I could use. This is usually how I shop at my lss too. 8-} Hey, I have to, where on earth would I put everything!?! Especially the punches, those I could nearly buy everyone of if I allowed myself to. ;-}

Wow.. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby. But at least I can say I've been in one :)

I can't believe you didn't buy anything. I couldn't have done it that's for sure :)

You are so right on about those punches. I paid $12 for a scroll corner stamp that I waited over a month for. They have it at hb for only $8. GEEZ!

One has to remember that Hobby Lobby and Michaels are the "WalMarts" of the craft world. They can buy at volume discount that the lss's cant'. Just don't expect the clerks at Michaels and Hobby Lobby to be real knowledgeable about crafts. If you want knowledge, you will have to go to the specialty store (like your lss).

I spend more than enough at HL and Michaels and occasionally at the local scrapbook stores. LOL

You bought Nothing?!!!!!! If only I could be so disciplined! I would have at least bought a piece of paper just so as not to walk out the door with nothing in my hands LOL! Good for you and next time I have the urge to go shopping, will you come along?! :)
