Xyron Design Runner ?

My b-day is this coming week and DH was asking if I would like the Xyron Design Runner. I understand it is a tool that does fonts. The font albums you get do they have several fonts to them. Is it worth the investment. I can never get the fonts to work on the computer so this might work for me. Is it easy to use? Does it print in a straight line easlily. Any help would be great. Hope everyone has a Happy and Healthy New Year.

The design runner is like an electronic stamp. I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than putting a date on a tag or stamping little pictures or borders as you have to do each letter individually unless it is already on the cartridge.

Hi Chrissy,

I like mine but the draw back is that it takes a lot of practice to line everything up correctly. I don't have any of the fonts as I can't get the calendar fonts to line up correctly.

I do like the sayings and designs. it is great if you are at a crop and want to "stamp" stuff on a layout but don't want to lug stamps and ink and cleaner and tissues with you.

See if your LSS will let you play with theirs. Thats how I decided against a couple of products I thought I couldn't live without.

If you want something electronic then I would ask for a Cricut or wishblade. If you want a diecutter the sizzix sidekick is my favorite because I can use my quickutz, bosskuts and zipecuts with it. Creative Express has the sizzix starter kit on sale for $19.80 and a couple of font sets for under $50 plus some sizzlits for less than $6 a pack, you really can't go wrong at those prices.
