A little serendipity

I was looking for something in a bookcase lastnight and made a big mess. Pulled out an entire shelf of books and found Claire Shaefffer's book "The complete Book of Sewing short Cuts," Didn't know I had it, can't remember buying it, but it shure is a nice one.I started looking through it and found answers to questions I didn't know I had. Oh, I did clean up the mess as well.

I just read in BJ's March 2005 Journal, that the average Jill spends

55 minutes a day looking for things--which = 12 weeks a year!!! I am properly horrified, especially since, like you, I just used up my whole years' time this afternoon, rooting for a book. A book which, I might add, was on the first (dark corner) shelf I checked, but it was wearing the disguise of a small paperback, while I was looking for a large paperback. I plan to use a shelf numbering system from now on. Congrats for cleaning up the mess. You're a better woman than I am, Gunga Dinnesa. Cea
