ALL THE TROUSERS ARE DONE!!

Dear Larisa,

One of my exercises for my design students was to design twelve garments that could be mixed and matched in a minimum of 36 ways. I can't tell you the number of them who came back later when ready to go to work to get a "refresher" in how to do this. It was an economic way for them to look spiffy until they could afford to have more than one group of garments. I stressed accessories (belts, scarves, jewelry, handbags) to change the looks even more. I tried to teach them that quality fabrics and construction were more important than quantity.
