How to sew with bad back?

In Prince Rupert - at the end of the road! You would have turned off Highway 16 at a place called Kitwanga to turn north onto 37 (Cassiar Hwy). If you had followed the Skeena to the coast you would have either had to take one of the three ferries (south to Vancouver Island, west to the Queen Charlottes where I grew up, or north to Alaska). When I was little I was terrified of the Skeena road between Terrace and Prince Rupert, but it has been improved greatly over the years (there are a few more feet between the mountain and the river and the road doesn't slant towards the river any more!). They even have a yearly bicycle race between the two towns now - I've not done it, though - 100 miles is not my idea of an afternoon cycle! Cynthia

Now for my question: where south of the border? It's an awfully long line across from the Pacific to Atlantic! I'm guessing Montana, but I'm probably way off.... Cynthia>

Spokane, not too far off!! I'm really wishing we'd taken some time to trip out to the "end of the road" but we sort of ran out of time on that trip. As it was the kids missed a week of school in the fall. What were we doing? Our family did a 160 mile wilderness float on the Tatshenshini river in Canada and Alaska, photo album here...We drove from Spokane to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. It's amazing country.

I honestly thought we were paying the highest. Leave it to me to keep up with events lol. All fabrics have pst, unless I guess if a person has a pst number and uses the fabrics for business, but that is another story all together........

I hate to jump in like this, but you know-there are a lot of people "south of the border" in the United States that wouldn't mind paying a little more in taxes if they didn't have to be prisoners of a "for-profit" health system. Just my two cents...

Go to your library and check out the book "Rx for Quilters". It has lots of tips for sewing with a bad back. Having your sewing table at the right height and a good chair will be key.
