Magic Box Question

I'm considering buying the Magic Box, for downloading embriodery designs from the internet, but I have a few questions. Well, I've done enough research to answer most of them, but I haven't been able to determine for sure if Magic Box will convert .pes (or other formats) to .hus format. I think it sounds like it does, but I need things spelled out a little better than the information I've been able to find.

I know there is an alt.sewing.machine-embroidery newsgroup, but I can't get any messages there at all, so if anyone here can answer (especially if you have a Magic Box), I'd appreciate it.

I'm sorry, I do not have a Magic Box, but I can give you a hint on researching the newsgroups (I did it when I bought PE-Design).

Go to:

and then put in the words "embroidery magic box" in the search engine. That will lead you to Usenet discussions on the Magic Box, including the Google Groups archive of alt.sewing.mach-embroider group.

Thanks, SewInSeattle! I appreciate the leads, as I was having a hard time finding anything on my own, other than advertising stuff. Since software isn't returnable, I want to be sure of what I'm getting before placing the order.
