My Sewing Blog

Oct 30, 2006 7 Replies

I started a sewing blog for sewing.com, but took it over for my own personal stuff. It's been kind of fun "talking" about what I'm sewing. No one is listening, but it's like writing to "dear reader" in a diary as a teen! I really just got started on it on a personal level rather than a blog for a site. Kinda fun, it is.

Saw your blog this morning and enjoyed reading it, and seeing the photos of the puppet-he's cute. Love the first quilt posted as well. Emily

The puppet should be done tonight. He got his first workout at rehearsal last night. I reach in through a hole in the wall backstage and jiggle him to make him "laugh" while a laugh track is playing. I wish someone would video it so I could see! I need to find a super light pair of shoes for him. Not sure if any of you have seen Sleuth, but it's one heck of a production for us back stage rats. Fun though :)

Hmmm...this might be a fun thing to do when my family and I are down there. The timing is right. I'll have to poll them to see if they are interested.

Williamsburg Players - Exactly where you're thinking from November 7 to December 7. I'll be the one back stage that you can't see, working that puppet :) For a 101-seat theater, they do some amazing shows. We did Chorus Line last year and I costumed that (we rented the finale suits, but they ALL needed altering). I've been there about four years, but I do not go on stage :)

If either of you are interested in going, let me know. I also work the box office and can make sure you get seats - shows will sell out pretty quickly.
