No more skipped stitches!

I'm following up on my post of a few days ago about what to do about skipped stitches when sewing with lightweight lycra. I received a lot of informative posts, THANK YOU ALL. I have experimented with several suggestions, and here's what worked.

  1. Changed my thread from Coats to Guttermann.
  2. Changed my needle to Schmetz Stretch, size 75-11, H-S.
  3. Bought some thread lubricant, Sewers Aide, and applied a couple of drops to a piece of felt I glued to my machine in a place where the thread would move across it. And, it all worked! No more skipped stitches. Cheryl

Isn't it a great feeling when things go right. Congratulations on your perseverance. Juno

Good news, indeed! Thanks for reporting back. We love a happy ending.
