we used to keep the microwave unplugged unless we weren't usiong it...everything else is pretty much on surge protectors (not the fridge, though), so we just take our chances, but I can kind of understand

If someone were to track her critical circuits and mark the breakers, she could make quick work of her worry-job.
I will wire my new house so 1 switch near my bed will do the job, everything off but the refrigerator, done so there is no field at that switch.
