Hi there, wondering if anyone can help me? I have a old pfaff 1222 and have heard contradicting reports about whether or not I can drop the feed dog for free motion sewing. I can't see any obvious way of doing it, does anyone know? Thanks! Jen

I have a Pfaff 1471 and to drop the dogs you open the front so you can see the bobbin. To the right of that is a slide thing on the top that you just slide over to drop the dogs. Don't know if that is the same way your machine is, but it just might be. You can email me privately if you want. Barbara in FL

You can and it is easy. The reverse feed lever has 3 positions. Flip it all the way to the left
