My pfaff 260 won't turn over, and I suspect the motor brushes, one (cannot get to other) of which looks very worn, and short, so there is little spring pressure against the armature.. The power cord is fine, the speed control knee switch checks out, and the motor will occasionally do a partial rev, then stop. None of the gears nor drive is frozen. Anyone here know how to get the motor free from the base of the machine for brush maintenance, or can you direct me to a technical/maintenance sewing machine newsgroup or website? The lower brush is blocked by a drive axle, and it looks like hell to remove the motor to access the brush screw on that side. Thanks, Roger
