OK, I'll have to gather this into one message because time is, once more,scarce.@ Juno: Never mind for chiming in late; not as late as my pics, I'd say. ;-)And praise is always welcome. ;-> And I know exactly what you mean; when Iwas still a cabinetmaker, whenever I couldn't come to work due to migraines,the guys would say I'd been boozing. Really, it's as bad or even worse thanthe hysterical female thing. Fortunately, in recent years some men have hadtheir 'coming out' migraine-wise, too, so now suddenly the illness istreated seriously. And we won't open that keg now, as my godmother says.@ The Fellow Migraine Sufferers: I used to think it was stress that causedmine. However, the longest time I was completely without attacks were thefirst three months at Dusseldorf Polytechnics. I was so busy but happy. Theneverything was back to normal. I used to think it was certain foods, butwhenever I thought I had found the culprit I was wrong. Partners havenothing to do with it (if it was that easy! Hehehe, Pogonip, good riddanceof two evils at the same time!) Kid is still too small, can't give her away!Well, with the support of the homeopath lady I'm currently down to a coupleof days at 'that time of the month' in various intesities. This one wasfairly mild but annoying, the one before that had me down for two dayswithout food and just some water to make the retching less painful. OK,enough details. I really hope that it'll all go away when I'm beyond myreproductive years, but until then...@ Kate: I had downloaded Child's Play from WG and guess what! A few dayslater, some Karen of WG sent me a rather personal email asking why I wasinterested in 'computerized pattern making' and where I'd heard about them.I felt free to tell them the entire story of The Dress and our cooperation,and I included links to your website and our wedding pics. Oh, and as forpics of DD in her dress, I actually found some on DH's computer, just got toget them out of there. I'll mail you the real stuff...

Congratulations and continued best wishes for a smooth recovery. Since this was the result of a cat bite, I have to ask: do you still have the critter?

Ah, I don't know how many people asked that question in variations from polite to vulgar. Yes, Sparrow, the ex-stray pirate tom-cat is still with me. He's just a critter and acts like one, so I can't blame him if I put my finger is his mouth in times of extreme stress such as a visit to the vet's to check on his inflamed gums. He looked definitely sorry afterwards, so I forgave him (although I have to admit that my feelings for him were a little less cordial for a while when it turned out that the whole affair wasn't just a little scratch, over in a jiffy). Right now he seems so grateful for not having to live out in the snow that I can't be angry with him. After all, he was so shy in the beginning and put his trust in me and let me tame him. Uh, OK, this is drifting into regions faaaaar OT. I hope that I'll be able to sew again in time, to get back on topic. ;-))

I was just wondering if there are any goddesses of sewing in any mythology. Athena perhaps, teaching people to weave? I can't think of any other... But I always liked Athena in the Greek myth books. Daddy's girl, that one is.
