All is well on my home front, thanks! We didn't even get the smoke, as the strong winds pushed it east rather than north to us.

That's very good news, I'm glad you were not in danger. I feel for the folks whose homes were lost, and the elderly man who died. Have they determined yet what started the fire?

Elderly??? He was 74!! A year older than me, two older than you. You consider that "elderly"? ;-) He probably had a history of heart problems, though.

Last I heard, they were talking about teenagers, homeless people, or an electrical problem like a broken power line. It's unlikely to be homeless campers since the area is not close to where they tend to go. Cold for teenagers to have a party, too. I wouldn't be surprised if it were caused by an electric fault.
