I'm altering some pants of mine. i have tons of patches that i would like to put on them. I want to sew them on the legs of some and possibly shirts or jackets in the future. Is there a way to space the insides of pant legs so they don't sew together? (This is easy on hims because you can fold the the bottom piece back) I tried a few things but i don't want to damage my needle or machne. Or would it be best to just sew them by hand? Sorry if this sounds redundant. I'm new to sewing. any help is appreciated ..... thanks................. Leon

I'm a little confused. What kind of patches are you talking about. The kind of patches I put on the knees of my little boy's pants when he wore holes through or an emblem type decorative patch?
