So cute! (for a snake!)

I give up. Too many people are requesting this photo, so I am putting it on my webshots page so anyone who wants to see it can take a look without having to ask. Go to:

formatting link
and lookfor the album "projects".

Thanks :o)

She really is a sweet snake with a wonderful disposition. She doesn't live with me anymore, and I miss her terribly. Her "dad" has custody of her. :o(

Hahaha! Now that's just silly! You have to send that to Jay Leno, who complains loud and long about people dressing up their dogs and cats. *giggle*

Nah... I don't need to be publicly humiliated on TV... except if they are willing to pay me lots of money!

Very silly - but cute! Have you thought of using the picture as a Christmas card?

It was supposed to be silly. I was attempting to cheer up her "dad" who was in a grumpy mood. I made her the hat to make him laugh. The hat was so small it only took me a few minutes to make it once I found the fabric in my stash bin. A baby boa's head is just a little bigger than the width of my thumb.

Yes, except I don't send Christmas cards, my family is Jewish. I was thinking of making a yarmulke for my parents pet turtle but he keeps sticking his head back inside his shell! Talk about being a difficult animal to fit! Probably makes the wiggling puppies seem easy.

;o)

Label the card 'Season's Greetings!' I get some like this every Christmas from Jewish and Muslim friends/customers/suppliers.

Why not make the turtle hat a shell cosy rather than a hat? He couldn't wriggle out of that!

Now *that* would be cute. Maybe you could just get a pic of him with his head out and add the yarmulke with a photo editing program, the way someone on a guinea pig mailing list did with putting crowns on piggies heads for a Mardi Gras thing.

Somehow I suspect that won't be doctrinally correct.

I could do that, but I think it is much funnier when it is real instead of manipulated on a computer.

You would be suprised what a turtle can wriggle out of! ;o)

True, but if you really have to have it and can't get it in real life, that's better than nothing.

Glue? ;P

I know you are joking, but on a serious note turtles can feel damage to their shell. Glueing somethign to it would be mean. Scotch tape or somethign else not too sticky would probably be more humane.

I was joking, but also thinking of something water soluble that wouldn't harm the turtle.

The nurses at the hospital where I used to work would use a dab of KY jelly to glue bows to the heads of newborn girls for their first photos. KY jelly is a non-toxic, water soluable surgical lubricant that happens to dry very sticky.
