Hi! My name is Stephy and I have no clue how to work a sewing machine, or how to sew.
never the less, I managed to get my hands on a SINGER 337 model, manufactured in about 1965. (with the cabinet too!)
So I figured out how to thread the top properly, but not the bottom.
HOnestly, there are so many holes in the darn thing, I dont know what goes where.
I tried looking at diagrams online, as well as instructions, but my brain turns to mush.
Every time I try, the thread keeps jamming. I attempted it a number of times, actually I spent about 3 hours trying to figure it out.
I dont think its broken, Its in beautiful condition.
I also have no clue what the numbers are for on the side (the wheel numbers) and the ones with the lever near the back.
Some help would be greatly appreceated.
I decided to take up sewing because I just went through a life-changing experience and decided that its time to get myself a productive hobby. As well, I know it will boost my self esteem.
I am not giving up on this old machine--->please help me!
Stephy
