Since my 2 uchikake hang on the wall way above the downstairs ceiling level (the bottom of the uchikake is probably about 9 feet in the air), I doubt if there is any way to actually get an acrylic box that size up that high without setting up some sort of scaffolding. If they hung on the wall at a normal room height of eight feet at the top, that would be different -- I was lucky to get DH to actually hang them up as high as he did! I guarantee the air was blue by the time he was finished -- LOL. I will have to say I never found a local source for acrylic sheets as large as those shown in the links provided by Beverly. Of course, I got my first uchikake about 15 years ago and I wasn't online at the time. Surprising what can be found using the Internet these days!! Thanks for all of the links Beverly -- great resource! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Too much! Two kimonos, material for a nagajuban for underneath, a couple of summer yukata and the accessories.

The summer yukata I can wear around home but I'll have to go out and to more high class places to wear a kimono.

ichiroya.com has too many beautiful silks. It is absolutely addicting.

It's like the most beautiful flower garden. You just have to keep going back for more and more. Even if only to look and drool.

What a great haul!!!

It's so true. And the absolute artistry of the garments' construction is just amazing. There really isn't silk anywhere else to compare with what these things are made from. I have to walk over and pet the uchikake every now and again. ;) It's hanging on the living room wall now. I mostly content myself with petting the lining. lol

WOW thank you for this site. I could look at it all day. I think people would look at me strangely if I walked around in a Kimono, but i do LOVE Kimono, and plan on having some as art in my home. I am trying to get my DH to get me a Korean wedding dress while he is in Asia for my collection. The embroidery on them is quite stunning.
