want to buy a computerized sewing machine - opinions on Brother PC-420 Project R

Hello,

I'm in the market for a new machine. I have a new baby and have been sewing clothes for her and I'm finding my current basic machine to be sort of boring. I saw the Brother PC-420 Project Runway model for sale on Amazon and the reviews of it are great. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a good machine for the money? Thanks!

I don't know a thing about the Brother 420. I do know that I had a less expensive (read cheaply made) Brother that lasted to the end of the warranty (6 months) then it collapsed. It required more to fix it, than to buy a new one. Needless to say, my next machine was NOT a Brother. I have 4 Janome machines (9700 sewing and embroidery, 634 d serger, and 205 mechanical sewing, and 900 CP coverstitch) they are outstanding machines. I wouldn't buy anything else.
