Well, my sister's wedding gown fitting went well. I only have to let it out *slightly* through the bust and back areas (about 1/8" at each seamline. I had hand sewed it all together with silk thread for the fitting so that it wouldn't leave a trail of permanent marks if I had to alter it. I'm so glad I did this now, but I was hating it while I was doing it! :-) I'm also lowering the armseye about 1/2" at her request. She's decided to skip the trim at the waistline and add a contrast satin ribbon instead. I'm only hemming it about 1 1/2". She looked just fabulous in it and kept remarking how much she loved it! It's so nice to see a light at the end of this tunnel.
