Anyone want to rescue some wood?

Greetings all,

With the storms that blew through Wisconsin this last weekend, a lot of nice trees blew down in my area. I've been nabbing what I can of the wood, but I am just plain worn out now. Anyhow, there is an extremely nice, choice hunk of yellow birch sitting on the lawn of the Hardee's off hwy 53 in Bloomer (about halfway between Rice Lake and Eau Claire.) I got what I could of it, but I broke not only my bow saw, but I figure I might've broke my back as well getting what I have of it (about 12' of the middle of the trunk- it was a big tree), and I'd hate to see it go into someone's fire pit.

Anyhow, it's roughly 10'-14' long, and has a diameter of about 12-15" inches on the narrow end. The other end is almost 18" wide, and is crotch figure where it split off the rest of the tree. Looking at the split grain, I'd say it's really, really curly- similar to some very nice dramatic tiger maple I had a while back. Nice and solid, and very fresh. The manager of the Hardee's said they didn't care who took it, and they didn't have any use for it.

So, if anyone is near enough, and has a pickup and a buddy to help them lift it- it's a prize worth nabbing. I'd get it myself, but I am just too worn down from the wood I already moved last weekend, and I need to save some energy for work. If it's still there this weekend, I'll give it another go, but if anyone else can get it, at least it will go to good use!
