Blocking Certain People from appearing on a Newgroup (your computer only)

Jul 23, 2003 4 Replies

If you have Outlook Express, click on "Message" at the top of the page.

Then click "Block Sender" on the drop down menu.

Repeat whenever necessary. If people change email accounts they will not be automatically blocked even though their name is the same in the "From" column on the newgroup browser. Simply repeat. Saves reading junk.

Hi Derek,

I need some help from you to undo a boo-boo. When I read your message, I liked the idea so well that I did it right then. I mean while I still had your message up where I could read the instructions. So guess who I blocked. I can not find any instructions on how to un-block some one. Can you please tell me how to get you back in the lineup?

Simply click "Tools" then "Message Rules" then "Blocked Senders List" and click on the selected person you want to reinclude.

Sorry, I'm not Derek, but I hope this helps...

  1. Click on "Tools" on the Menu Bar in Outlook Express.
  2. Click on "Message Rules."
  3. Click on "Blocked Senders List..."
  4. In the Blocked Sender List tab, deselect (remove check mark) from the person from whom you'd like to continue receiving news.
