Not sure what the software you indicate in your post's title does, but I recently added a program called 'lathe' to the WoodStone portal as a free download. It used to be shareware, but I tried several years ago to contact the author and couldn't.
This program allows you to draw a profile, then have it rendered in 3D so you can see what the finished bowl or spindle will look like.
