HELP- Looking for vendor

Hi, I am posting this on behalf of the Long Island Woodworkers Club. We have our 9th annual show coming up in April and we have vendors representing the major tool companies, and several lumber outfits, but what we would like is a vendor focused on turning tools and accessories. The show committee is attempting to contact Craft Supplies, but has received no replies. I'm looking for suggestions on what company would be good to contact. If any vendors are reading this, please feel free to respond directly to me.

For 2004 we have outgrown the Sports Plus Conference Center and are moving to Hofstra University. This is a westward move bringing us closer to New York City, in addition to giving us a larger space. On the clubs website

) there is additional information about theclub and the show. If you go to the Media Center and Online Videos, you cansee some clips of last years show. Under Events there is a list of lastyears vendors. The show has besides the vendors, a gallery of members work, a toy workshopfor kids, tool garage sale, and speakers. Last years speakers includedMario Rodriguez, Ian Kirby, Strother Purdy, Frank Klausz and Ernie Conover.Additional seminars were led by members of the woodworkers and woodturnersclubs.

As you can see from this info and by checking the vendors list from last year, this is not a small show. We would like to make it more complete by including a turning vendor.

Thanks in advance Martin Rost member Long Island Woodturners Association & Long Island Woodworkers Club

Hello Martin,

I suspect that near New York City is too far for Craft Supplies to travel for a local event. I agree they would be the biggest and best to have in attendance; however, there are others on the East Coast that might work for you: Packard Woodworks and Penn State Industries . Both of these are woodturning suppliers.

I would second the vote on trying to get Packard there -- they have a full line of products, excellent knowledge of the products (they are turners) and excellent customer service.

is also OneWay, but they seem to prefer shows that are mainly turningoriented. But it might be worth a call to them.
