I need a lamp tube, a metal threaded rod, hollow, about 20 inches long. This will be used to make a light box for turning wooden hats, I am feeling adventurous.
Anyone know where I can find a lamp tube?

Most hardwares stores carry these. "LampParts" is a product line that you will likely see in the US. What these are is all-threaded 1/8" pipe, straight thread. Dan

Since all you are trying to do is mount a light socket on it, you could just use a piece of 1/8" pipe, threaded on at least one end.
Home Depot carries it in my area.
