Hi, Just thought I'd take a little bandwidth to gloat a little. On May 15th I was re-elected as Village Commissioner; tonight the vote was canvassed and made official. A commissioner in a small Texas town is like an alderman or city councilman in larger cities. We incorporated Feb 1 of last year to ward off the threats of sand and gravel strip miners, and also to avoid being taken into the Austin city limits. The mayor and both commissioners were re-elected. (The mayor was unopposed, but we commissioners won by about 56%, so we're calling it a mandate! :-)).

Congratulations Mr. Commissioner and hooray for the small town...Texas or otherwise.

So Ken, what is the best bribe you been offered so far? *G* Those gravel companies have money! Austin, hmm, you gotta be south or south east of austin to have gravel, my old alma mater.

Congradulalions, Ken, I'm sure you'll do a good job. ----James
