Tung "Butter"

Hi all. I was sorta following the thread on Tung Polymerization and have come upon an opposite situation to the heating. I use a squirt bottle of tung oil and keep it near the lathe... well back in January everything froze pretty good around here (happens about 1 week every year). Well my tung oil went from a transparent liquid into a "buttery" looking goo. It's remained this way for the last few months even tho the temps have been between the 40's and upper 50's.

It doesn't appear to have had any detrimental affects on the oil or it's use. Akshully it seems to work better. Squeeze a bit out of the bottle and it doesn't run all over the place. Work it in, let it soak and buff off the excess just like the old days.

Just wanted to put this little oddity out there for any comments. I may have to go the route of freezing my tung once this bottle needs a refill. (Hep! Ralthy! Hep!)
