Woodturning FAQ

Could someone please point me in the direction of a Woodturning FAQ? I'm just about to buy a Jet Mini Lathe for pens and such, and know almost nothing about this end of woodworking. Rather than ask questions that have undoubtadley been asked many times before, I would be happy to go through the more common ones on a FAQ. Thanks for any pointers.

Hi Don, There is no faq for this group as far as instructions for turning pens but if you go to google.com all the posts are there. Keep ya busy reading for a loooong time. Or just ask any questions you have right here. There is also a pen turning group but not being a pen turner I don't know where. Someone will post it.

Thanks for the replies - I'll check out the yahoo group and ask a few things here after I become a little more educated.

Hey Don,

As already has been pointed out, there is no FAQ for this group, but there is another excellent resource that is almost as good as a FAQ, in the form of the archives, located at:

you can search by any keyword, author or whatever you want, andget an avalanche of information.

Don,

For pens, the Kip Christiansen and Rex Burningham book can't be beat.
