WT journal recommendation

I picked up a copy of "American Woodturner" the other day and was disappointed that most of the magazine had to do with just about everything BUT turning. Most of the magazine was taken up with using a turned object as a base for dying, painting, carving or some other artsy-fartsy stuff.

That's where that level of contributor stuff comes in, or to reference another thread, common knowledge neglects things which were learned long past and focuses on things unusual or uncommon.

I'm not asking for the magazine to only focus on things that are common knowledge for experienced turners. I would prefer that it focus on turning, not decorating turned items.

Take a look at Woodturning design. I've found copies at Barnes and Noble mag rack. They also have website where you can see some of the full article/projects.

I'm a bit shocked that no one mentioned, "More Woodturning," which I've been publishing for over ten years now. It was published as a tabloid newspaper for over eight years, but in June 2005 it was changed over to magazine format. It is available as a printed copy or as an electronic copy (pdf format) delivered by e-mail (a good buy for Foreign subscribers because of no extra postage and almost instant delivery). It is published 10 times each year, with double month issues for March-April and September-October. There is also a very good buy of a CD-ROM with all issues published since October 1996.

I don't normally use the ability of this newsgroup to advertise my publication, but maybe I should do so more often.
