LOL well I found a Hat pattern for my Plymouth Yukon Yarn but will use 10.5 needles as I have been playing with the yarn for a few days a smaller needle is too much for my arthritic fingers, anyway here is the pattern just in case anybody is interested:

Well I am confused the pattern says to CO 49 stitches and work K1P1 for 4 inches....I just finished the first round and ended with a knit stitch so that leaves a K stitch at the end and beg of the round....is that right?

You have an odd number of stitches in a round so you do a K stitch at the beginning and end of the first and all odd-number rounds but a P stitch at the beginning and end of the second round and all even number rounds. Or more simply stated, do K1, P1 until you have finished the seed stitch cuff.

Oh duh......I went back and really read the pattern this time and all I can say is I have made way too many k1p1 ribbed baby hats for charity
