Thought I'd show you a photo of one of my little guys. This isn't really a true Amigurumi character, cause the eyes are low and wide apart ... but he's my favorite anyway. *smile*
I call him Sunshine .. he's only 2 1/2" sitting ...

Well, he's adorable and you should be proud. Of *course* he is *your* sweetheart! I always love the first toys I make... of course when Matthew was little he got all my "firsts". Hey, someone (a child) had to test them for durability! ;o)
