While I was looking for something else, I came across a pattern (with picture) of a doily with swans sitting up on it, and it reminded me of you, because I know how much you love making doilies. :o) So, here is the URL for it.
I was looking at the picture and thinking that it would look really pretty if the base of the doily could be done in blue and only the swans done in white... then it would look like they were swimming on a pond. I don't know if it could be done... I would think so, but maybe you'd need to do one all in white first just to see when and where the swans would be joined so you could figure out if and where to stop the blue, change to white, then back to blue again. Anyway, I thought you might like something to play with. I think it's gorgeous! :o)
