Stitch Markers

I'm looking on websites at yarn I want to buy (drool...) and I'm seeing these little things called stitch markers. Are they literally just a hoop of metal with a dangle hanging down? I've got so many beads and wire scraps from my jewellery designing I thought I'd have a go and make some myself!

Charlie.

I'd be careful about what might snag, but otherwise I suggest you knock yourself out. I've seen people suggest everything from loops of contrasting scrap yarn to twist ties. Whatever floats your boat will work. Just be wary of any exposed bits of wire that might get caught in your yarn.

metal or plastic paperclips do as well, at least I find they do, we can't buy those stitch holders over here, not near me anyway, but i bought a tub of plastic covered coloured paperclips, the ones that look like what you see if a sender of a message to you adds a file or photo, and they work well. Cost literally pennies
