Children's Book Knit Sighting

Coming out of lurkdom to share this which my 8yo daughter pointed out to me.

Runny Babbit by Shel Silverstein is written in spoonerisms (transposing the sounds of two words).

One poem is called Runny's Hew Nobby and reads:

"Runny Babbit knearned to lit, And made a swat and heater, And now he sadly will admit He bight have done it metter."

Shows a picture of Runny Babbit (Bunny Rabbit) knitting a sweater with "one slong leeve."

Too cute!

It's a new book, released earlier this year. The copyright page says that "Completed prior to Shel's death in 1999, this was a work in progress for over twenty years."

It's a very cool book. Or bool cook!

Oh neat! Even though I don't have any little kids, I'll keep my eyes open for the book. Thank you for sharing! :o)
