Entirely OT: a death in my extended family

Noreen, I am so sorry to hear that sad news. I pray your beloved cousin may rest in painless peace and that his family find the strength to celebrate the loving and joyful times even in this time of grief. I shall pray that you all may find comfort.

I'm so sorry. I am going through a similar thing. My uncle in England died a couple of weeks ago, and my beloved aunt must now go into a home because she has completely lost her short term memory and needs to live in a secure enviroment where she cannot wander off. They had no children. My dd, whose USAF dh is currently stationed in the U.K, is acting as my deputy, trying to get things sorted out. (p.s., you should SEE my phone bill, with lengthy transatlantic calls on a daily basis, sometimes two or three times a day.)

Thank you Cher. I just wish I could be in Yorkshire, where Auntie Em is, to see her safely into Assisted Living, instead of having to rely on lawyers, social workers etc. to pick the right place for her.
