Hello everyone, I have been told and corrected, by several people on my use of the term felted knitting. the term should be fulled knitting or weaving..
So there you go another lesson in correct terminology. When you have used a textile technique to create an item as in knitting, weaving and crocheting, and you (felt) your piece you should use the word full, from fulling.
"Felt being originally a non-woven material, it may even predate woven textiles". The last is quoted from Mable Ross' Encyclopida of Hand Spinning.
I do know that woven materials fulled, are sometimes also called boiled cloth as well. There you go your Sunday morning Textile lesson
