FO's for February

I don't remember seeing anyone post this.... if it has been done, put me down for a bad memory (laugh)

Hat & scarf for me done in Rowan "Tapestry" variegated yarn. Baby Arnold Sweater in worsted weight variegated acrylic Candle Flame Shawl done in Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud

WIP's Skull bag to be felted Another pair of socks - Flickering Flames pattern.

My sister just returned from 7 weeks away to Australia and New Zealand. She brought me back some Opal sock yarn and a tiny sample of a couple of locks from a just-sheared sheep. (She thought the Opal was native to Oz and was quite disappointed when I told her it was from Germany). I wasn't disappointed - I'm always glad to be given yarn as a gift (giggle).

I held up the locks for one of her cats to sniff and she (the cat) went nuts... went after it like it was a mouse!

I completed the Enid Cardigan and a baby sweater, Wills in the Rowan Classic Babies. Enid was knit with Elann Devon and Wills was knitted with Cashsoft.

Right now I'm working on the Cabled Cardigan from Vogue Knits Fall

2006. I've got the itch to start the We Call Them Pirates Hat with some of my leftover Devon, but I'm avoiding the provisonal cast on. I did one on Enid and it just about drove me nuts.

Lucky you, Shelagh, getting goodies from the Southern Hemisphere. My MIL visited New Zealand last fall and sent me some handspund, natural cream colored merino. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. It's really lovely and smells alive (in a good way).

I finished an orphan wool baby hat for charity, and a helmet liner for the troops, of brown merino--got to get some more of that; it's so soft! Will post pictures soon.

WIPs: toddler vest for charity, of orphan wool very bright self-patterning socks for self
