found a lovely stola with sleeves

While in Toronto, my daughter's neighbour came over to show her newpurchase. It was a very fine machine knitted black stola about 120 incheslong and about 30 inches wide. Off center, about 5 inches from the topwere two tight fitting sleeves set in. The design is so simple, it iseasy to knit up, or sew up. The two loose ends from the stola can bethrown over the shoulders or criss crossed in front and tied in the back. It was amazing what you could do with it. I have bought some inexspensiveknitted cotton material at Desingers Fabrics on Queenstreet West, to seeif I can make one for my daughter. When you bought 2 meters at the timeit only cost a $1.50 per meter. Cheap enough to do a bit of playingaround with. If it does not work out, I will cut the rest in thin stripsto weave with. A win win situation.Els

Yes!! May be we should try it? I think it would be easy sold these days: "Hand woven vests Sudoku pattern!Each pattern is special!" Much work though! Must be expensive! AUD ;-))
