I found this sock calculator.

hope it works, I have not tried it yet. If any of you have time, let me know.

I hope I have not missed any important dates and happy wishes and prayers if I have.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Thanks Dennis, this is a good thing to have too! In fact, there are a number of us that may make good use of it after all the sales on sock yarn posted today.....I've saved it to my favorites. Marie and the cats

And I always thought we all knew how to count to 2,,,[two] ?] Sorry could not resist this one .... mirjam

Well, grin, Mirjam... it depends on what we're already doing with our fingers and toes as to how high we can count, yes? Noreen who also couldn't resist! GRIN ')

If you are going to be doing "finger math" while knitting, you need "toe" socks (at least until spring is really here and we can knit barefoot). Yep! Use your worry beads (or an old string of pearls) held between your toes as a row/stitch counter. That way you do not have to move your hands out of position to track your progress on the pattern. A dab of paint or fingernail polish on every fifth or tenth pearl helps when you are dealing with hundreds of stitches or rows for those of us knitting large.

Why stop there? With rubberized toe socks for better grip, you could use your toes to knit one end of a shawl, while you knit the other end of the shawl with your hands. With such a skill, if you then needed wrist/thumb surgery, you could knit with you toes while waiting for the cast to come off your wrist.

Perhaps, I am flailing my tangle of steel needles too close to my Magnetic Chart Holder and generating electromagnetic fields that are causing my computer to send out nonsense.

Aaron, You're as 'nuts' as I am, grin! (that's actually a COMPLIMENT!) Noreen

You know Aharon , i read this and i apologize for not even smile , years ago i couldn`t use one arm and was taught to write with the other and somebody suseggested that 'just in case i should practice writing with my feet as well ... Thank Goodnes i can use all my fingers ,,,, But i will never ever make fun of such things ,, Our use of any limb is a miracle we should take care of them like the precious parts of our body they are ,,,, You can`t realize how much you need them ,,,, mirjam

Your welcome Marie and the cats!

I don't use a pattern Mirjam. Socks are pretty simple to do from the head but, some people aren't as brave as you and I :) .

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

That is why we luv u so much Noreen!!!!

Very true Mirjam. I had surgery on my right arm after I injured it and was without the right arm for weeks.

It is nice being able to do so many things with the left are now.

Right arm is fine also.
