Hi, TVM, and welcome to the BEST ng on the 'net! Yes, you can request pattern searches and links/urls here! Keep in mind though, that if you just want a pattern that isn't in the public domain, ie, on the 'net... no one really can 'help you', as copyright infringement is... besides being illegal, highly frowned upon amongst 'us'. Thanks for that! All I'm looking for, if anyone has one, is a knitting patttern for .... a camel. Yes, a camel. If it's in a book (I fully appreciate what you say about copyright), perhaps the name of the book? Not a huge camel, just a little one :-) I'm a reasonably competent knitter, and can cope with decreaing/increasing to shape things.

You can post, and as long as it doesn't violate copyright laws, that shouldn't be any problem. Who knows, someone may have the pattern and not want it any more.

Try "Knit a Square, Make a Toy" and "World of Knitted Toys". My copies are out on loan or I could tell you for sure if either book has what you're looking for.

Or draw the same but then knit the shapes. Either way, be sure to make the camel's mouth corners turn up - they really do have a built-in smirk.
