Gem, I am glad that you are feeling a bit better. Please remember to take your meds. They are there to help you. (And, by the way, I was wondering what you were doing up so early. LOL)
Janise
No need to hang your head low! We're here for you no matter what happens :) Glad to hear that you are feeling better!

Hi Janise! Don't worry.... I took my medication a few minutes ago before coming on line... so there will be no repeats of yesterday! ;o)
Oh man.... falling asleep on the sofa for four hours with the furnace turned up all the way made the house SO warm... TOO warm in fact. When I woke up I was extremely groggy from the heat, and turned the furnace off completely... went into the washroom and laid in bed, but the furnace just kept running and running. I've lived here two years now as of yesterday, you'd think I would be used to the gas furnace by now, but I forgot that it cools itself down before shutting off... and after being on that high it took a long time to cool itself down to shut off. So there I was laying on the bed wondering (and worrying) that the stupid thing wasn't ever going to shut off and that I may very well suffocate in the heat along with my poor dogs. Finally I realised that I was not going to get any sleep while that thing was running.... so I just got up and came online for a couple of hours. I felt the vents from time to time and realised that it was blowing out cooler air, so I remembered what it had to do, but by that point I was well awake. I finally ended up going back to bed about 6:30 AM and dozed off... I woke up about 10:30 AM still a bit groggy because the house is still VERY warm.
I can't believe how well insulated this house is... it's very well insulated. Normally in the middle of winter we turn the furnace on high for about 15 minutes to take the chill out of the air in the morning, then I might turn it twice more throughout the day, and then about 20 minutes before bedtime we put it on again to warm the house for a comfortable sleep. I guess yesterday was another of my blonde moments were I overdid it... this time with the furnace on high for four hours. No wonder it's still so warm in here.
I have to go to the bank in a few minutes.... I thought my cheque was in yesterday, but it comes in on the 1st of the month. I have to leave enough in to cover insurances, and extra to add to Matthew's next Unemployment cheque to pay September's mortgage.... the remaining $130 has to go on a couple of bills to make sure things don't get shut off.
Thankfully I did stock up on some food and since I don't eat half as much when Matthew isn't here (I don't cook meals for myself), there should be enough food to do us for a little while when he comes home. In fact on Sunday I bought some ground beef, so today I am making up three small meat loaves in aluminum pans to put in the freezer... that's three meals we won't have to worry about. :o)
Anyway, I should get a move on. The bills won't pay themselves... unfortunately.

Thank you, Laura! :o)

You'll be happy to know (I know *I* am) that I remembered to take my medication this morning before coming online! ;o)

Gem, I got a wee bit behind and missed your first post until now, and was about to answer IT when I saw THIS one following up. Glad things are 'better'...... HUGS, Noreen
Ditto here!
Hi Gem Didn't realise Matthew wasn't with you now... Well that's no excuse my girl...get yourself something to eat drink and then sleep...inbetween that get to the GP's and get sorted....lol so there...!!!

Hi Gem,
Glad you had a better day. Now, I wonder of your local school has a program like ours does. The seniors each pick a senior in the area and call them once a day to check on them. Might be something to look into.
Hugs,
Nora
Ummmm.... I'm not a senior, Nora!
Gem
hehehe Do they serve bread and water? I can do better than that myself. LOL
I made up three small meatloaves today and put them in the freezer to have on hand. *And* I made myself three slices of French toast. See... I ate! ;o)
Gem
LOL I just told you in a previous post... I had three slices of French toast. Making meat loaf makes me nauseous squishing all the stuff between my fingers... so I wasn't all that hungry. Oh yeah, and early today I had another banana too. ;o)
Gem
Oh Wow Gem'sy....I'm so VERY pleased with you, Two brownie points for that....now that's three altogether...well done you.....hugz....Cher
AND a banana?.....oh you are being good.....well done you.....
Cheers...Cher
Nawwww but you gotta be a bit older than the kids???? so to them you'll be ancient.....lol
