I'm managing

Hi

I'm manging with the cast on but have to admit that I am getting very frustrated and bored.

I know things are going to get better but it's hard right now.

The pain is down a little from yesterday but stll bad.

Mirjam, I would get cramps in my toes if I tried that. I used to be able to do this, but in the last couple of months I have been getting more cramps in my legs and feet. Never during the day, but at night. It isn't so bad when I'm awake and watching TV... I can just massage them and stand up to stretch the muscles... but man they hurt when they wake you up out of a sound sleep. One night I was walking back and forth (barefoot on the cold floor... which I heard is supposed to be good to relieve cramps) through the kitchen for about 15 to 20 minutes straight until the cramps finally eased up.

Hi Darlene Sorry to hear you're still in a lot of pain. Hang in there, and try to be patient (smile).

As a matter of interest (or not), a friend told me that the Yarn Harlot's so-called 2nd book was actually her first, but was not well publicized and didn't sell much. Since her second book (At Knit's End) sold so well, the first one was re-issued, although still not with a lot of fanfare. I gather it's selling a lot better the second time around, and soon she will have a

3rd book out.
