Hi All,
Got my new book, Knitting for Dummies, and I have learned a good bit from it. I did know some of the basics but have been going through the book trying various patterns, etc. I am pleased with it. I have been practicing so much that my hands hurt and I very near got a blister on one of my fingers last night. I switch off every so often from knitting to crochet and plastic canvas. Good thing I'm retired! Ha!

Thanks for checking in and telling us about the book. I did not purchase it but, I looked at it for a while in the book store. It is nice being able to sit down and check out a book before you buy it now.
I also push "knitting the old way" for beginners. It pretty much covers making sweaters with out a pattern.
