Looking for Tabi/ Flip-Flop sock pattern

Jan 23, 2006 4 Replies

I'm looking for free directions for tabi/flip-flop/ mitten-toe socks. Crocheted or knittted, either is fine. Any help will be appreciated greatly.

Thanks for the page. I hadn't found that one.

For a newbie to knitting, how would I extend the socks up the calf?

Where the directions begin, the paragraph that says Cuff; you do your cast on, distribute the stitches over 3 double point needles, work the 1 inch (or 1 cm) of ribbing, then just continue to knit in stockinette (or whatever stitch you want to use) for whatever length you want your cuff to be. When it's long enough, start following the directions for the heel and continue following the rest of the pattern as written. HTH Marie and the cats

Thanks. When they're done, I'll post a link to a picture.
