It matters not where one is in the world - the vocal majority are the ones who can't be bothered to get off their asses and vote.

Me, I voted against Shrub more than twice - since I live in Texas I got to vote against him when he ran for governor. I'm entitled to bitch about him :)

Heh, heh...... I voted too, and I'm gonna whine too. At least the Conservatives have a minority govt. Wonder how they'll like the shoe on the other foot. Martin is going to resign. I'm looking to Jack Layton to keep those damn Reformers honest. Any bets we'll have another election in under

2 years? Harper's gonna get into bed with the Bloc. gag, puke.

Sure did Shelagh, as a matter of fact we voted last week already in an advanced pol. It looks like we will have a change of parties, leading the country. It also looks like we will have another election very soon....moan groan. The bad thing is that we vote against instead of for. Although sometimes it is near impossible to make up your mind to decide who would do the best job. Let see what is going to happen in the next months. And Shelagh I am a great believer in making everyone vote. You just have to go through one war and to loose your freedom, to know that it is a priviledge to be able to vote in a democratic society

and, many hours later....after an evening of watching the CBC, we do have a new government, but it is going to be interesting because it is a very close call all the way around

I am laughing at that. Lets see what is going to happen, with the parties coming in so close together, they have to work together or we have to go back to the polls. Maybe we are going to have a miracle, and all the guys are going to work together and we are going to have perfect daycare, great social services, education is going to be tops, and healthcare is going to shine, and there will be money left over in the kiddy......Ha, ha, More elections soon I can feel it in my bones

Sleep well and tomorrow is another day

Hi

Well no news wasn't either good or bad news for me yesterday after seeing the specialist. He was very happy with the movement that I have got back so quickly but he wasn't happy with the numbness in the side of the thumb that I have. Now I have to wait another 6 weeks before we can do any tests as it takes about 12 weeks for this surgery to totally heal. So at 14 weeks if I still have the numbness I will have to go through some tests to see if the damage is permanent or not. I am a lefties so having numbness in the left thumb is hard to deal with.

I am trying to stay positive but have to admit that I do have good days and bad days.

Take care Darlene in Toronto

For sure , Darlene, you are bound to have good and bad days. I will pray that the damage is not permanent, and that you will be better than new soon.

Shelagh, you spoke my mind for me! And now they're talking our former premier Brian Tobin as a possible Martin replacement.

I'm half hoping for another quick election, to get Harper out. I think Layton can keep them in line.

I can offer genuine sympathy to my friends north of the border - I can relate being seriously disappointed with the results of a national election.

Good Lord, Michelle! They can't be serioius!!! Talk about a total idiot! Even Tobin couldn't possibly think that he can be PM????
