I only remeber there has been a Pam earlier, I think...???

OT: You talk of Pam AM . Lol! I misread it to Pan. Am., the Aircraft company. We have winter holiday here, people are travelling and "our own" company still has strikes and actions. (My friend mailed me from Frankfurt, she had a direct ticket Oslo- Brussel, in the morning, but now she HOPED to reach Brussel before night.)

Terefore we have spoken much about OTHER companies people could use! May be it is why I now thouoght about Pan Am, not Pam Am.LOL! AUD ;-) PS; I am glad to be home with my knitting this time!

Hi Pamjam, congrats on the new name.

I use cotton for discloths because it's easiest to disinfect. You can bleach cotton in the wash and anything trying to grow on it is done for.

As for pot scrubbers, my aunt makes them in nylon mesh you can buy cheaply by the yard. She cuts it into strips and then makes either a square or a fancier flowered one with a flat bottom, and you use the flower to hold and flat bottom to scrub. She also uses different colors to add interest. They are good for 2-4 weeks, depending on how many pots you have to scrub during that time! She loves to make them, as they don't take that long to whip up.

For hotpads that won't melt, save your old clothes. Wash them well, then cut or tear them into strips between 1/4 and 1/2 inch wide, and cut holes near the ends and overlap 2 pieces and then draw one through both holes rather than sewing them together (takes less time and is just as secure IMO), and crochet or knit hotpads to your heart's content. Cotton t-shirts and other cotton fabrics work well as hotpads. If you don't have any old clothes, you can haunt garage sales or go to the thrift store to find cotton more cheaply than you will in the regular store. If they are cotton, just wash and use regular bleach or bleach for colors as needed, and they are ready to use.

I completely agree with you, Mirjam! I remember one of my friends, 11 yo girl, persuaded her parents to change her name to a quite different one. She was happy, but I remember I felt it scary and wrong ,if I should have done that, inspite of the fact that I could think of MANY names that were much "prettier" than my own.(In fact MOST other names...LOL) But they were not "mine".

Still: Aud;-)
