Hi Susie,
Wow, the hat is lovely and to think it's your first knit item. Congratulations. Can't wait to see the next one.

Cher, I had a few loose strands on the back side. I ended up going to the neighbors but she just wanted to hide it. I'm not going to ask her anymore for help. I want to learn RIGHT and not just try to cover up mistakes. I ended up watching a video from here at
Nora, Thanks a lot. :) Are you the one from NY????? Or do I have you confused with someone else? Susie in northern NY
Hi Susie,
Congratulations on the finished hat, it looks lovely. How you are holding your blue piece looks fine to me. While the knitting is still short is can easily flip to inside out when knitting in the round, and stocking stitch does curl a lot. I'd suggest tying a piece of contrasting yarn round any stitch and have the ends sticking out on the right V side. This way you can tell at a glance which side should be facing you while you're knitting.
Sue, Thanks for liking my hat. :) Ok, thanks for the tip, Susie
Hi Susie,
I just realized I wasn't very clear. If you use a piece of contrast yarn tie it round some already completed stitch a little way down the knitting, not a stitch still on the needles.
Hi Sue, That's the way I took it. :) Thanks, that ought to help, Susie
Wow, Susie! Congratulations on finishing your first project. Good job!

Katherine, Thanks. :) It was mostly fun. LOL. I'm learning. Susie

Thanks Sarah. :o) Susie
LOL I often say that even now - that a particular project was "mostly" fun!
