Your quilts are gorgeous and I love the colors you used in the celebration quilt. It's an inspiration for my next project.

Very nice, Kay! You're ahead of me, though, since I haven't made any of the patterns in weeks now. In fact, the mystery quilt is still waiting to be quilted!
What pretty fresh colors- I really, really like your fabric choices! I'm most impressed with your fussy cuts, too. That must have been challenging with PFP. Great work and a lovely top. Now keep going and get 'er done!

It's lovely, Kay. Well done. It's very pretty indeed. I must congratulate you on the first border - straight stripes! Lovely! Roberta Horton I am not! Wish I could be like that, but, sadly ... ... . In message , Kay Ahr writes

That is so soft, fresh and gentle looking Kay, I love it! Well done.
Very pretty, Kay! I love the colors.
Than you! Can you believe it was all from stash!
What are you making next?
Yes indeed, that fussy cutting was something else! This was the first paper-piecing I had done aside from Carol Doak's simple little hearts to learn with! Once I made one, I wasn't about to let all that work go to waste as an orphan block. It was definitely worth pressing on with.
Thanks, Kay Ahr in NV
I'll definitely be finishing it. Had to find a new place to baste the layers together. I'm in a different school now -- this is my third school since starting to quilt. This school is newer and has more carpeted areas. I finally realized the music room has a big expanse of tiled floor. The music teacher said Monday, Thursdays, and Fridays are good for using her floor after school. So maybe this week.
I don't know how I'm going to quilt this. I might just stitch-in-the-ditch. A quilter looked at it last week and talked about putting pinwheel designs in open spaces. I just cringed. I don't want the quilting to overwhelm the pieces and colors. Maybe it will talk to me while I'm pinning it together.
Kay, if you use thread that doesn't contrast with the fabric, those pinwheels could look really good as a sort of subtle accent. Just an idea.
That's a thought. I haven't sent anything out to be quilted yet. I'm still experimenting on my own. But with all the effort I put into this one, maybe it does deserve being sent out.
